The National Working Lurcher & Sighthound Federation was formed to represent the interests, practices and cultural heritage of legal working lurchers and sighthounds across the UK. Our aim is to provide a strong, credible and united voice for running-dog people in the public and political domain.
We bring together experienced and respected people from across the UK, including individuals, clubs, groups and associations connected to lawful running-dog work. The Federation reflects the broad community involved in working lurchers and sighthounds across breeds, crosses and traditional legal practice.
We stand for unity, honesty, responsible ownership and fair representation. We believe lawful running-dog work should be understood on its own merits and not judged by the actions of those involved in illegal activity.
Our goal is to protect and promote legal running-dog work, improve public understanding, support responsible ownership, and ensure the community has a clear national voice as legislation and public discussion continue to evolve.
